February 2017 – News Flash – Natural Health Service
The Natural Health Service is where instead of prescribing medication as a treatment GPs refer patients to a 12 week programme of walks or outdoor activities in local woodland or parts etc. People walk in groups for security and can be helped with transport.
The GP referral scheme is being piloted in Dorset for patients but the hope is to expand it around the country/abroad
