BREAST CANCER CAMPAIGN
Studies have shown that even though most women in Cyprus have access to free breast cancer screening, a large number of women do not have regular checks. This has led us to start a campaign to emphasize the importance of having these check-ups and to encourage women in Cyprus to overcome the fear factor of this disease. Early detection is vital !

For this reason we aimed to challenge the Guinness World Book of Records LONGEST BRA CHAIN. Singapore held the record with 79,001 Bras in a 60km chain. Our challenge date was 30 April 2006 and we were successful. We managed to make a chain of 111 km with 114.782 bras clipped together. With the money raised from this campaign and with major help of CYTA, Dr. Vasilis Tanos and Sideshow/  a  ' first in the world'  SMS Reminder service has been set up so that regular reminders can be sent to ladies to have their screening. It has been proved in other countries a reminder service has saved lives.
